Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for international students, offering advice on visa regulations, work permits, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct informative presentations and workshops on topics such as immigration procedures, cultural adjustment, and academic success strategies using public speaking skills.
• Assist students with application processes by providing detailed guidance and support through systems like PeopleSoft and Ellucian student information platforms.
• Perform analysis of student data to identify needs, track progress, and develop tailored support plans.
• Interview prospective international students to assess their eligibility and facilitate recruiting efforts through engaging conversations and outreach initiatives.
• Collaborate with campus departments to ensure seamless integration of international students into campus life and academic programs.
• Maintain accurate records of advising sessions, compliance documentation, and communication logs to ensure transparency and accountability.

Experience

• Proven experience in student advising or counseling within an educational environment, preferably with international student populations.
• Strong public speaking abilities to confidently present information to groups of students or stakeholders.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating student data and developing strategic support initiatives.
• Experience teaching or mentoring students in diverse settings, fostering inclusive learning environments.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft or Ellucian student management systems for data entry and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Experience conducting interviews or recruiting prospective students to promote educational programs.

Pay: $37,400.00-$50,000.00 per year
