Internship: Agentic AI for Automotive Software Engineering

Internship objective This thesis is positioned within the field of software engineering applied to automotive systems: the goal is to explore the opportunities offered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic approaches to support software development process activities.

Main activities(6-9 monts) The Candidate Will Work On a Prototype Applied To The Software Development Process On Real Components. In Particular, They May Contribute To

Analyzing the stages of the development process where agentic AI can provide the highest value, by evaluating:

• benefits
• limitations
• risks of the proposed approach
• understanding constraints and needs related to ASPICE and ISO 26262
• designing and developing scripts, tools, and AI agents to automate and support parts of the process

in terms of quality, reliability, and adoption in an industrial context

Candidate profile

We are looking for a student close to completing a Master’s degree (with a maximum of two exams remaining at the start of the activity) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

Desired Skills

• Interest in Software Engineering

• Basic knowledge, including academic knowledge, of the software development lifecycle

• Familiarity, even at an introductory level, with automotive topics such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, or regulated development processes

• Programming and scripting skills (Python, Java, ...)

• Interest in or initial experience with:

• LLMs

• AI/ML

• agentic workflows

• tool orchestration and automation

• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving attitude

Good written and spoken English. Knowledge of French is considered a plus
