Internship – Business Development / Accounting

About the Internship

WAKOMAS Chemical Sdn Bhd is looking for motivated and enthusiastic students to join our team through our Internship Programme.

Our internship programme is designed to provide students with real working exposure, hands-on project experience and practical learning opportunities within an established business environment.

Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced team members, participate in actual assignments and gain exposure to the chemical, petrochemical, trading and distribution industry.

1. Business Development Intern (1 position)

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist in market research and identification of potential business opportunities.
• Conduct research on industries, markets, customers, competitors and potential business partners.
• Assist in preparing business proposals, presentations and market information.
• Support the team in evaluating potential new products, markets and business opportunities.
• Assist in maintaining and organising customer, supplier and business development information.
• Participate in internal discussions and selected business or project meetings.
• Support ongoing business development projects and follow-up activities.
• Perform other related assignments or projects under the guidance of the supervisor.

What We Are Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Interested in business, market research and commercial activities.
• Willing to learn and able to work independently with guidance.
• Good command of English; additional languages will be an advantage.

2. Accounting Intern (2 positions)

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist with day-to-day accounting and finance administrative activities.
• Support the preparation and organisation of invoices, payment documents, receipts and supporting records.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) documentation.
• Support data entry, filing and maintenance of accounting records.
• Assist in checking and reconciling financial information and supporting documents.
• Support month-end accounting activities where applicable.
• Assist with preparation of basic financial schedules and reports.
• Participate in finance-related assignments and improvement projects.
• Perform other related accounting duties under the guidance of the Finance team.

What We Are Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
• Careful, organised and attentive to details.
• Willing to learn and able to handle financial information responsibly.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
