What they need
Are you interested in management consulting and want to work in an entrepreneurial environment in a global organization? We are now looking for an Intern to join our engaged team in Copenhagen. Do you thrive on delivering value to clients within market expansion and international growth? Take this opportunity to work at the intersection of business and diplomacy and help Swedish companies reach their full international potential.
Business Sweden works with leading multinational companies and start-ups across all industries, and our clients' business is often driven by digitalization, innovation, and sustainability. Our consultancy services include market entry and growth strategies, partner searches, market analysis, business intelligence, sales acceleration, M&A support, and Public Affairs advisory services.
The Copenhagen office is part of Region Europe and works closely with our Nordic colleagues in Finland and Norway. We are also an integral part of Team Sweden and collaborate continuously with the Swedish Embassy in Copenhagen. Our office covers the entire Kingdom of Denmark, including Greenland and the Faroe Islands. In addition to Denmark, our office also covers Iceland.
We help Swedish companies expand in the Nordic markets by providing advice on market dynamics, local partnerships, regulatory frameworks, business opportunities, and growth strategies across industries such as life sciences, defence, energy, transportation, technology, retail, and food.
The role includes both strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities such as:
- Collecting, analysing, and presenting market information, industry insights, and business intelligence.
- Supporting senior colleagues in client projects related to market expansion, growth strategies, and internationalisation.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities through research, prospecting, and lead generation.
- Preparing and arranging business delegations, events, workshops, roundtable discussions, and B2B meetings for Swedish companies.
- Supporting our collaboration with Team Sweden partners, including the Swedish Embassy, to promote Swedish business interests.
- Contributing to reports, market assessments, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
- Monitoring market developments and media coverage relevant to our clients and priority industries.
- Taking ownership of your own work while actively contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Support with ad-hoc tasks related to office management
The role is based in Copenhagen, but you will be expected to work with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients across the Nordic region and the wider Business Sweden network as required.
The role is a fixed-term internship for Spring 2027, with a duration of approximately 3-5 months depending on the candidate's availability and educational requirements. Please indicate your preferred internship period in your application. The internship is unpaid and must be conducted as part of your current studies, either through a mandatory internship, stand-alone academic course, or scholarship arrangement.
