Job Summary

Axiom5 Law Chambers LLP is a boutique firm focused on competition law and policy in India. We advise on a broad range of competition law issues, including litigation and enforcement, complex merger control, counselling and compliance, and competition policy and advocacy.

We are looking to add a highly motivated Associate to our team working out of our office in New Delhi. This role is intended for individuals with a genuine interest in competition law, strong fundamentals, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to sophisticated matters from an early stage. The position offers the opportunity to work closely on complex, high-quality mandates in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.

Who should apply

We would be keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Strong academic credentials: LLB from a reputed law school.
• Relevant experience: 1-4 years of experience in competition law, including relevant internships or clerkships.
• Clear interest in the subject: A demonstrable commitment to competition law, whether through prior work, writing, mooting, research, or academic experience.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and spoken English.
• Analytical rigour: Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Teamwork and initiative: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organisational skills: Attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
• Comfort with legal tech: A high degree of familiarity with technology-enabled software and tools relevant to contemporary and fast evolving legal practice.
• We will give particular weight to candidates who fulfill the listed qualifications and, in addition, either hold a strong LLM or have demonstrated meaningful academic depth in competition law.
