About the Role

• This internship is designed for university students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) within large-scale construction projects
• As part of the DayOne Construction Team, you will support EHS initiatives, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment while learning industry best practices in data centre development

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring EHS policies, procedures, and standards on construction sites
• Support daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments
• Help ensure compliance with local regulations and company EHS requirements
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions
• Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports, and records
• Monitor contractor safety performance and adherence to safety protocols
• Support environmental management initiatives, including waste management and sustainability practices
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to promote a strong safety culture

Eligibility Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university program (Diploma or Degree) in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
• Strong interest in construction safety and EHS practices
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and risk management principles is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong observational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic construction environment

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Relevant coursework or prior internship related to EHS or construction safety
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 standards
