Internship - Engineering

About the role

HEJIN GROUP (MALAYSIA) SDN BND is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Interns to join our manufacturing team in Gelang Patah, Johor. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment, where you will gain practical exposure to PCBA manufacturing processes, production operations, quality systems, and continous improvement initiatives.

Working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real manufacturing projects while developing techinical and problem-solving skills.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist engineers in daily production and manufacturing activities.
2. Support process improvement and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
3. Participate in production troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
4. Assist in preparing work instructions, process documentation and engineering reports.
5. Support engineering change implementation (ECN/ECO).
6. Collect and analyse production data to improve process efficiency.
7. Assist in conducting process validation, testing and product evaluation.
8. Participate in quality improvement projects and corrective action activities.
9. Support equipment setup, maintenance coordination and process monitoring.
10. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Warehouse and Planning departments.
11. Perform other engineering-related assignments as required.

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:

• Electrical & Electronic Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Manufacturing Engineering

• Mechatronics Engineering

• or related disciplines.

• Internship period of at least 3 to 6 months.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Willing to learn in a manufacturing environment.

• Positive attitude, responsible and proactive.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or engineering software will be an added advantage.

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
