Internship Fashion Design

About the role

This is a Fashion Design role focused on creating and visualizing design ideas, developing product ranges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including buyers, production, and design colleagues to bring concepts to life.

Key responsibilities

• Creating and visualizing design ideas and producing designs
• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends and general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes
• Planning and developing ranges
• Working with others in Design Teams, such as buyers and Productions, to develop products to meet a brief
• Create design, choosing appropriate fabrics and follow up samples
• Developing patterns that are cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, deadline and adaptations
• Create technical spec design (Technical Sheet)
• Collaborating with the photoshoot team to visualize the collection so the message is delivered correctly
• Choosing fabrics and trimmings for collection development, and sometimes dealing with suppliers

About you

• Possess at least a Diploma Degree in Fashion Design or a related field
• Maximum of 2 years of work experience in Fashion Design
• Strong knowledge of product development and pattern making
• Proficient in software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Freehand and Microsoft Office
• Creative, fast learner, and highly motivated with excellent service attitude
• Have a deep understanding of fabric and its characteristics
• Willing to commit to this program for a minimum of 6 months
