Internship for Accounting

About the role

TBL & Associates is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Intern. This is a full-time internship opportunity based in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, designed to provide you with practical, hands-on experience in the accounting and administration field. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced accounting team to support daily operations and develop your understanding of real-world accounting practices. This internship is an excellent stepping stone for individuals looking to launch their career in finance and accounting.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with data entry, processing of invoices, and maintaining accounting records
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision
• Filing and organising financial documents and ensuring proper record-keeping systems
• Answering phones, responding to emails and providing general administrative support
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and general ledger account maintenance
• Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Helping with the organisation and coordination of office activities and events
• Learning and assisting with other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• A keen willingness to learn and ability to take on new responsibilities
• Reliable, professional attitude and ability to work well within a team environment
• Basic understanding of accounting principles is advantageous
