About the role

Mega Label (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual for an Internship for Accounting position. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in bookkeeping and small practice accounting within a dynamic business environment. Based in Batu Pahat, Johor, this is a contract-based internship that will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in accounting operations and financial management. You will work closely with our accounting team to support day-to-day financial activities and develop your understanding of accounting practices in a real-world setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and general ledger entries
• Supporting the reconciliation of bank statements and accounts
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements
• Supporting the organisation and filing of financial documents and records
• Assisting with invoicing, billing and payment processing
• Supporting the team with data entry and bookkeeping tasks
• Contributing to month-end and year-end closing procedures

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is advantageous
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Eagerness to learn and develop accounting knowledge and practical skills
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
