Internship - Process Department

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Process Department. This internship offers hands-on exposure to chemical manufacturing operations, process monitoring, production efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives while working alongside experienced engineers and production teams.

What you'll do:

• Assist in monitoring daily production activities and chemical process parameters to support smooth and efficient operations.
• Collect and analyse production data to identify process performance trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support process optimisation initiatives to improve productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Assist engineers in troubleshooting process issues and conducting root cause analysis under supervision.
• Participate in process improvement projects, production trials, and technical evaluations.
• Assist in preparing process reports, operating procedures, and technical documentation.
• Conduct field observations to understand chemical processing equipment, process flow, and plant operations.
• Learn and comply with process safety requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.

What you'll need:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Interested in chemical manufacturing, industrial processes, and process improvement.
• Possess good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a hands-on industrial environment.
• Able to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
• Available for a 6-month internship.
• Willing to work at CCM Chemicals Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam, Selangor.
