About the role

Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Purchasing Intern to join our procurement team in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time internship position that offers valuable practical experience in the purchasing and procurement field within the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry. You will work alongside experienced procurement professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to supplier management, purchase order processing, inventory control and vendor relationship management. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to develop their career in procurement and supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting with the processing and preparation of purchase orders and requisitions
2. Supporting supplier communications and maintaining vendor databases and records
3. Helping to monitor and track inventory levels and stock movements
4. Conducting basic market research and price comparisons for materials and services
5. Assisting with the preparation of purchasing documentation and reports
6. Supporting the procurement team in coordinating with internal departments regarding purchase requirements
7. Helping to file and organize purchasing records and contracts
8. Assisting with general administrative tasks related to the purchasing department

What we're looking for

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field
2. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
3. Basic knowledge of purchasing processes and inventory management principles
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
7. Keen interest in learning about supply chain and procurement operations
8. Reliable, punctual and willing to take on new challenges
