Internship: Technical Services

Our Technical Services Internship Program is designed to provide students with practical exposure to the maintenance, training, and field operations of medical devices. Interns will gain hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and fieldwork alongside site engineers, while developing technical and professional skills essential for careers in engineering and healthcare technology.

Objectives:

• Provide interns with practical knowledge of medical device operations and maintenance.
• Strengthen technical skills through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Enhance understanding of medical device training and user support.
• Develop competencies in fieldwork and exposure to real-world healthcare technology environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Interns will actively contribute to the Technical Services team by:

• Participating in medical device training sessions to understand usage and safety protocols.
• Assisting in preventive maintenance of electronic medical devices.
• Engaging in fieldwork, including exposure to medical devices with site engineers.
• Supporting documentation and reporting of technical activities.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the program, interns will:

• Understand the fundamentals of medical device operations and maintenance.
• Gain practical experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Develop skills in technical training and support.
• Acquire insights into how technical services ensure reliability and efficiency in healthcare delivery.

Candidate Profile:

We seek a motivated individual who is:

• In their 3rd – 4th year

• Enrolled in either of the following courses:

• BS Electronics Engineering

• Any Engineering course related to mechanics and complex electronics

• Detail-oriented with strong technical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communicators with a collaborative mindset.

• Interested in developing expertise in medical device operations, maintenance, and technical services.
