The Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court is a trial court of general jurisdiction in Florida, serving Hillsborough County, including the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace, and Plant City. It handles a wide range of cases, including criminal felonies, civil disputes over $50,000, family law matters, probate, guardianship, juvenile dependency, and delinquency cases. The court also has limited appellate jurisdiction over certain administrative actions and county court decisions
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Interpreter/Translator to join our diverse team. In this role, you will serve as a vital communication bridge, translating spoken and written content across multiple languages with precision and cultural sensitivity. Your expertise will facilitate seamless interactions in international settings, support content localization efforts, and enhance cross-cultural understanding. Duties

• Provide accurate interpretation services for conversations, meetings, conferences, and multimedia content across multiple languages.
• Translate written documents, reports, and digital content ensuring clarity, tone, and context are preserved.
• Conduct audio transcription of recordings in various languages, maintaining high levels of accuracy and formatting consistency.
• Manage translation terminology databases to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
• Support content localization initiatives by adapting materials for specific cultural contexts while maintaining original intent.
• Assist with interpretation during virtual or in-person events, ensuring smooth communication between multilingual participants.
• Apply linguistic expertise to analyze language nuances, idioms, and cultural references for precise translation outcomes.

Skills

• Multilingual proficiency with strong command of at least two languages; bilingual fluency is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in interpretation and translation within diverse settings.
• Language proficiency level 3 or higher (on a standardized scale), indicating advanced fluency and comprehension skills.
• Expertise in transcription, audio processing, and typing with attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of translation terminology management and content localization strategies.
• Knowledge of linguistics principles, cultural competency, and foreign language nuances to ensure accurate communication.
• Excellent communication skills paired with strong writing abilities for clear documentation and reporting.
• Ability to analyze information critically for intelligence analysis or similar tasks requiring linguistic precision.
