Looking for practical industry experience this summer? Join Intertek's Vacation Program and gain valuable exposure to the minerals and resources sector while working alongside experienced laboratory professionals in a safety-focused environment.

This opportunity is ideal for students, recent graduates, and/or those who are interested in FIFO work seeking hands-on experience in laboratory operations, sample preparation, quality systems, and analytical testing processes. Positions are available at our selected FIFO mine site operations across Western Australia.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with laboratory and sample preparation activities
• Learning industry-standard laboratory procedures and quality practices
• Supporting day-to-day operations within a fast-paced testing environment
• Working within a strong safety culture and following established procedures
• Collaborating with experienced teams to deliver quality outcomes for our clients

Key Requirements

• Available to commence in late October 2026
• Available for a 3 to 4 month fixed-term contract
• Able to work full-time hours throughout the program
• Available to work rostered shifts, including public holidays where required
• Willing to undertake FIFO work (for site-based opportunities)
• Able to successfully complete a Drug & Alcohol screening
• Comfortable undertaking practical, hands-on work
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and reliability
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
