About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week contract in Hermiston, Oregon. The technologist will support diagnostic and interventional procedures through fluoroscopic imaging, sterile technique, procedural assistance, hemodynamic monitoring, and coordinated patient care.

This position may function across imaging, scrub, and monitoring roles while supporting vascular, non-vascular, and cardiac catheterization procedures. Candidates should be comfortable working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary procedural teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging systems during diagnostic, vascular, non-vascular, and cardiac catheterization procedures while maintaining radiation safety and ALARA standards.
• Function in the scrub role as assigned, maintaining sterile technique and assisting with catheters, guidewires, sheaths, procedural trays, and other interventional equipment.
• Perform hemodynamic and procedural monitoring, including recording pressures, ECG data, procedural events, contrast use, supplies, implants, and device deployment.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, monitoring equipment, procedural timeouts, vascular access management, sheath removal, and recognition of changes in patient condition.
• Complete image post-processing and PACS transmission while supporting room turnover, equipment checks, inventory management, procedural documentation, and Epic charge entry as applicable.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 Years of Relevant Experience Required; Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab Experience With Fluoroscopy and Scrubbing Interventional Cases Required.
• Current, Active Oregon Radiologic Technologist License Issued by OBMI Required.
• Current ARRT Radiography RT(R) Certification Required.
• Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.
• ACLS Certification Required; Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program Required; RCIS and NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred.

This contract opportunity is suited for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist comfortable supporting imaging, scrub, and hemodynamic monitoring responsibilities in a procedural environment.
