Inventory Administrator

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Media, PA that is seeking an Inventory Administrator to support inventory, cost of goods sold, and supply chain accounting activities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory valuation, performing reconciliations, analyzing variances, and supporting financial close and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and supply chain transactions
• Maintain accurate inventory accounting, including standard costing, inventory reserves, adjustments, and variances
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Reconcile inventory and related general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Analyze inventory and production variances and provide clear explanations to management
• Ensure accurate accounting for warehouse operations, freight, logistics, and supply chain costs
• Partner with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure proper financial treatment of inventory movements
• Utilize SAP to extract data, research transactions, and support financial analysis
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and controls related to inventory and supply chain accounting
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on inventory and supply chain accounting
• Hands-on SAP experience required
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, standard costing, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA experience
• Cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience
• Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Experience with inventory controls and audit support
• Experience with accounting process improvements and system enhancements

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
