Inventory Analyst

Job Summary

The Inventory Analyst – Consignment Sales is responsible for monitoring and analyzing inventory movements for consignment accounts. The role ensures accurate inventory records, reconciles customer inventory reports with internal records, identifies discrepancies, and provides timely analysis to support inventory accuracy, sales reporting, and replenishment planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and stock movements for all consignment accounts.
• Reconcile customer inventory reports against internal inventory and sales records.
• Analyze sales, stock depletion, and inventory variances to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Finance teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consignment sales reports.
• Monitor stock aging, slow-moving, and near-expiry inventories and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure timely replenishment recommendations based on inventory consumption and sales trends.
• Verify stock transfers, returns, and adjustments related to consignment accounts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system.
• Assist during physical inventory counts and cycle counts for consignment locations.
• Investigate inventory issues and recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accountancy, or any related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, inventory analysis, supply chain, or FMCG operations.
• Experience handling consignment inventory is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
