Inventory Analyst

About the role

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, analyzing stock movements, maintaining inventory accuracy, and preparing reports to support efficient inventory management. The role ensures optimal stock availability, identifies inventory discrepancies, and recommends improvements to inventory control procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze inventory levels, stock movements, and inventory turnover.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and analysis.
• Reconcile physical inventory counts against system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Identify slow-moving, fast-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Analyze inventory trends and recommend appropriate stock replenishment levels.
• Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Ensure proper documentation and recording of inventory transactions.
• Monitor stock aging, variances, and potential inventory losses.
• Develop and improve inventory tracking processes and control procedures.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in inventory analysis, inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related role is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory data.
• Ability to prepare reports, interpret data, and identify inventory trends.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of inventory reconciliation, stock monitoring, and inventory control procedures is an advantage.
