Inventory Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to monitor stock performance, maintain inventory accuracy and support effective stock planning. You will work closely with our Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales and Finance teams to ensure sufficient stock availability while minimising excess inventory, shortages and expiry losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse inventory levels, stock movements, consumption trends and stock turnover across company locations.
• Prepare inventory reports and highlight shortages, excess stock, slow-moving items and non-moving stock.
• Recommend reorder levels, safety stock and replenishment quantities based on demand, supplier lead times and sales trends.
• Monitor product expiry dates, batch records and stock ageing, and coordinate timely action with the relevant departments.
• Support cycle counts and physical stocktakes, investigate discrepancies and follow up on corrective actions.
• Reconcile physical stock against system records and coordinate approved inventory adjustments.
• Work with Purchasing and Sales teams on demand forecasts, purchase planning and stock allocation.
• Monitor stock transfers between locations and identify opportunities to improve stock utilisation.
• Maintain accurate inventory master data, including item codes, units of measurement and stock parameters.
• Prepare dashboards covering inventory accuracy, stock availability, ageing and turnover.
• Recommend improvements to inventory processes, reporting and internal controls.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Statistics, Accounting or a related field.
• Preferably at least 2 years of relevant experience in inventory analysis, stock planning, supply chain or warehouse inventory control.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions and data analysis.
• Experience using ERP, inventory management or warehouse management systems.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Able to communicate clearly and work effectively across departments.
• Experience in medical supplies, healthcare distribution or other businesses handling batch-controlled and expiry-sensitive products is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools is an added advantage.
• Willing to be based in Banting, Selangor, and travel to other company locations when required.
