The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Inventory & Inwards Goods Controller to own the accuracy, quality, and flow of stock from the moment it arrives on site through to its use on the production line. We need someone who's out on the floor, eyes open, spotting shortfalls before they become problems and getting stuck in to fix what's wrong rather than waiting to be told.

What You'll Be Doing

Inwards Goods & Devanning

Receive, check and devan inbound goods against purchase orders and documentation, then put stock away accurately - including managing coil intake, rotation, testing on receipt, and RAs alongside CS and the Sheds team.

MPI & Biosecurity Compliance

Hold and maintain personal MPI accreditation to inspect and clear imported goods and containers, keeping it current and acting as the warehouse's first point of contact for MPI matters.

Inventory Accuracy & Stock Control

Own inventory accuracy across the warehouse - planning and running cycle counts and stocktakes, root-causing discrepancies, making NetSuite adjustments, and keeping stock locations clearly labelled.

Inwards Goods Quality

Confirm every inwards product meets spec before it's put away or released to production, through coil checks, mill certificate verification, and colour matching, escalating anything out of spec.

Line Supply

Work alongside the Line Supply Coordinator to keep production resupplied from bulk stock, providing backup cover and getting ahead of low stock before it bites.

What We're Looking For

• High attention to detail - comfortable checking specifications, certificates and samples closely and consistently

• An analytical mindset - able to investigate a discrepancy or quality issue and find the actual root cause, not just fix the symptom

• Practical and hands-on, happy moving between physical warehouse work and administrative or system tasks

• Sharp eyes on the floor - someone who notices when stock, quality, or process isn't right and acts on it, not just when asked

• Competent with computers and systems, confident learning and working within NetSuite or a similar ERP/WMS

• Process-oriented, following and improving structured processes rather than relying on memory or ad hoc methods

• A current forklift licence, and confident and competent operating forklifts and reach trucks

• Highly organised, with a genuine preference for order and tidiness in how stock and the warehouse are kept

• Current MPI accreditation for inspecting and clearing imported goods, or willingness to obtain and maintain it, is a bonus

• An understanding of Lean principles is an advantage, but not essential
