What they need

Inventory and Materials Control Manager

Powerus | Rock Hill, South Carolina | Full-time | On-site

Powerus is building an American autonomous systems and advanced manufacturing platform serving defense, government and commercial customers.

The Opportunity

Own inventory integrity, component traceability and material readiness across our expanding Rock Hill, SC manufacturing operation. You will establish controls that support production growth, prevent shortages and give operations and finance a reliable view of stock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish inventory controls for raw materials, components, work in progress and finished goods, with clear ownership of transactions and reconciliations.

  • Build cycle-counting and stocktake programs; investigate discrepancies, identify root causes and

implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor material availability against production schedules and coordinate shortage resolution with procurement, planning and warehouse teams.

  • Maintain replenishment parameters, safety stock and reorder points with planning and procurement, considering lead times and changing demand.

  • Support ERP and MRP implementation and improvement, including inventory master data, units of measure and transaction discipline.

  • Establish lot and serial number traceability and ensure material records support approved product configurations and engineering changes.

  • Control excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory; coordinate disposition decisions with engineering, quality, procurement and finance.

  • Report inventory accuracy, shortage exposure, turnover and stock aging; support financial reconciliation and audit evidence with finance.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Significant experience in inventory control, materials management or manufacturing supply chain

operations.

  • Strong understanding of ERP, MRP, cycle counting, reconciliation and inventory replenishment.

  • Experience working with complex bills of materials, engineering changes and multi-component

assemblies.

  • Relevant experience in electronics, automotive, aerospace, defense or other advanced manufacturing environments.

  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated record of improving inventory accuracy or reducing

production shortages.

  • Ability to coordinate across operations and finance, challenge unreliable data and follow discrepancies through to resolution.

The Ideal Candidate

An analytical, detail-conscious manager who combines strong controls with practical support for production. You should be able to turn inventory data into clear actions and build confidence in both physical stock and system records.

Location

This is a full-time, on-site role in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Candidates must be based within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Relocation details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
