Inventory Clerk

Job Description – Inventory & Procurement Staff

• Manage daily inventory monitoring, receiving, inspection, and stock control.
• Verify invoices, purchase orders, and received stocks for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Update inventory and stock records, including received, stock-out, and pull-out items.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment.
• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate purchasing requirements with suppliers.
• Handle urgent and emergency stock requirements of stores.
• Conduct supplier canvassing and compare prices, quality, and availability.
• Follow up on pending orders and deliveries to ensure timely completion.
• Review invoices and coordinate with Accounting for payment processing.
• Monitor product shelf life, expiration dates, stock turnover, and slow-moving items.
• Prepare inventory, purchasing, budgeting, delivery, and cost analysis reports.
• Assist in developing cost-saving measures and improving inventory procedures.
• Coordinate with warehouse, store operations, suppliers, and management.
• Maintain organized purchasing and inventory documentation.
• Participate in inventory review meetings and recommend process improvements.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to multitask, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be full-time, reliable, and deadline-oriented.
