Inventory Control Supervisor

About the role

The Inventory Supervisor oversees the management, storage, and tracking of raw materials, chemicals, and finished products. They ensure accurate stock levels, proper documentation, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, chemicals, and finished products
• Monitor stock levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages or overstock
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations
• Ensure proper storage conditions for chemicals and materials, following safety guidelines
• Supervise correct labeling, segregation, and documentation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Lead and supervise inventory staff, warehouse personnel, and storekeepers
• Coordinate with purchasing/procurement, production, QA/QC, and R&D departments
• Maintain accurate inventory records, logs, and stock reports
• Enforce warehouse safety regulations and ensure compliance with chemical handling and environmental regulations
• Implement proper disposal procedures for expired or hazardous materials

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• At least five (5) years of experience in logistics and supply chain management role
• Experience in chemical inventory management or warehouse supervision
• Knowledge of safety regulations and hazardous material handling
• Knowledge of inventory systems and stock control methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, batch tracking)
• Experience with inventory software (ERP systems, WMS, or LIMS)
• Understanding of chemical properties and compatibility
• Supervisory and team leadership skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Proficiency in inventory management software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
