What they need
Inventory Controller
Keep things moving. Keep things organised. Keep things running like clockwork.
We’re looking for a practical, motivated and switched-on person to join our team as an Inventory Controller.
We need someone who takes ownership, pays attention to the details, thinks ahead and gets things done.
You don’t necessarily need previous inventory or stores experience. What matters most to us is your attitude, common sense, initiative and ability to solve problems.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating inventory, stock movements and stores activities
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes, place orders and follow up deliveries
- Researching parts and products to ensure we are ordering the right item at the right price
- Research, compare and arrange national and international courier and freight options, balancing cost, reliability and delivery time
- Tracking orders and making sure deliveries arrive when required
- Keeping inventory records accurate and up to date
- Identifying potential issues before they become problems
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure they have what they need, when they need it
- Helping improve processes and finding smarter, more efficient ways of doing things
- Keeping the stores organised and running smoothly
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is highly organised and enjoys keeping things in order
- Is practical and solutions-focused
- Takes ownership and follows things through to completion
- Is confident communicating with suppliers and colleagues
- Has the motivation to research, investigate and find the best solution
- Can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Has good computer skills and is comfortable learning new systems
- Uses common sense and isn’t afraid to ask questions
- Takes pride in getting things right
Experience
Previous inventory, stores or purchasing experience is not essential.
If you are organised, proactive, commercially minded and enjoys solving problems, we would love to hear from you.
Perhaps you’ve worked in administration, purchasing, logistics, customer service, operations or another role where attention to detail, organisation and taking ownership were important.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to become a key part of a busy team where your initiative and ideas will be valued. No two days are the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn, develop and make a real difference to how efficiently our stores and purchasing functions operate.
If you’re the type of person who sees a problem and thinks, “I’ll sort that,” rather than walking past it — we want to hear from you.
Apply now and tell us why you’d be a great fit for the role.
Hours are 8.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
