Inventory Count Staff

About the role

Responsible for conducting scheduled and surprise inventory counts, including Random Counts, Category Counts, and Annual Physical Inventory Counts across all SIDC Retailing Stores. Ensures inventory counting procedures are properly followed, accurately records inventory count results, assists in inventory reconciliation, and maintains complete inventory count documentation to support inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Conducts scheduled and surprise Random Inventory Counts, Category Counts, and Annual/Overall Physical Inventory Counts in all SIDC Retailing Stores
• Ensures inventory counting activities are performed in accordance with established inventory counting procedures
• Performs accurate physical counting and recording of inventory quantities
• Assists in the reconciliation of inventory count results
• Compares physical inventory with system records to determine inventory accuracy and identify inventory variances
• Reports inventory discrepancies and unusual findings to the Retail Systems and Support Team for further validation
• Encodes inventory count results accurately and completely into the prescribed templates (Google Sheets and Excel)
• Maintains complete, accurate, and organized inventory count records, including random/category count sheets and other supporting documents
• Assists the Retail Systems and Support Team in inventory count planning, reporting, and other inventory-related operational activities
• Completes assigned inventory counts and submits inventory count reports within the prescribed schedule
