What they need

Job Title: Inventory Manager
Location: North Oxford
Hours: Full-time or part-time

About the Role

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing stock across the business and helping create clear, reliable systems for managing inventory as we grow.

This is a hands-on role that connects our shop, e-commerce, wholesale and purchasing activity. You will work closely with the founder and wider team to understand what is selling, what needs to be replenished and where we need to plan ahead.

We are looking for someone who enjoys creating order, spotting discrepancies, improving systems and helping the wider team make better decisions based on accurate information.

We are a small and growing business, so this role will work closely with several different areas of the company. We believe in giving people ownership of their area. We want the person responsible for inventory to understand the whole picture, keep the team informed and be confident making sensible day to day decisions.

Full-time or part-time available; we are open to discussing a working pattern that suits the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records across the business.
  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying products that need replenishment.
  • Coordinating regular stock counts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Receiving incoming stock.
  • Organising stock so that products can be located and fulfilled efficiently.
  • Tracking stock allocated to retail, wholesale and e-commerce.
  • Monitoring fast-selling, slow-moving and low-stock products.
  • Supporting purchasing and restock planning.
  • Helping forecast inventory needs around seasonal peaks, launches and promotions.
  • Working with the retail team to make sure the shop is appropriately stocked.
  • Supporting online order fulfillment and stock accuracy where needed.
  • Maintaining clear records of incoming deliveries and outstanding stock.
  • Helping improve inventory processes as the business grows.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and comfortable working with numbers and systems.

Essential

  • Detail-oriented and methodical.
  • Confident working with spreadsheets and inventory data.
  • Comfortable managing several stock movements at the same time.
  • Reliable and consistent.
  • Comfortable communicating with different parts of the business.
  • Able to create and maintain clear processes.

Helpful but not essential

  • Previous experience in inventory, stock control, retail operations, warehousing, purchasing or supply chain.
  • Experience with Shopify or another inventory management system.
