Inventory Specialist

Thacker Caskets is the largest family and privately-owned funeral supply company to funeral homes in the United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Manager with a strong background in problem-solving and organization skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, working with warehouses across the nation to solve problems, and vendors on making sure inventory is arriving on time. This role requires strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and a hands-on approach to managing warehouse inventory processes.

• Lead root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and establish corrective action plans.
• Guiding Warehouse Managers in inventory issues.
• Conducting stock take and inventory counts remotely with warehouse managers.
• Processing orders that have unique inventory related intricacies.
• Working in ERP software to process inventory transactions.
• Track and monitor late receipts and possible inventory issues.
• Work with Operations Managers to help plan transfers between warehouses.
• Creating purchase orders for vendors.
• Managing returns to vendors and associated credits.
• Serving as a standby customer service representative.

Preferences & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• High level of proficiency at the Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially: Outlook, Excel & Microsoft Word are required.

This position will have primary responsibilities involving inventory, but as mentioned will serve as standby Customer Service on a day-to-day basis.

This position will be a Monday through Friday (8am – 5pm). It is a home office-based position with no regular involvement with working in a warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,000.00 per year
