Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory control and replenishment across multiple warehouse locations and third-party logistics providers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP Business One, including available inventory, committed quantities, stock in transit, and warehouse transfers.
  • Reconcile SAP inventory balances with warehouse reports and physical counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, receiving errors, shipment variances, damages, and incorrect product movements.
  • Develop replenishment recommendations using sales history, open sales orders, lead times, minimum order quantities, safety-stock requirements, and expected customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels to reduce stockouts, excess inventory, aging stock, and unnecessary transfers between locations.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments, receiving documentation, warehouse transfers, and product availability.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, expected arrival dates, goods receipts, and inventory moving through the supply chain.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories and ensure that discrepancies are documented, approved, and corrected.
  • Maintain product, warehouse, and inventory-planning data within SAP Business One.
  • Work closely with Sales to identify changing demand, promotions, new-product requirements, and significant customer orders.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure inventory transactions, stock-in-transit balances, landed costs, and inventory adjustments are properly recorded.
  • Communicate inventory requirements and replenishment priorities to the manufacturing and supply-chain teams in Brazil.
  • Establish clear operating procedures and controls for receiving, transfers, inventory adjustments, damages, samples, and product returns.
  • Develop and maintain inventory dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Inventory accuracy by warehouse
  • Product availability and service level
  • Stockout frequency
  • Inventory turnover
  • Days of inventory on hand
  • Excess and aging inventory
  • Forecast and replenishment accuracy
  • Warehouse receiving accuracy
  • Cycle-count completion and accuracy
  • Resolution time for inventory discrepancies
  • On-time availability of incoming products

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in inventory control, replenishment, supply-chain planning, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple locations or third-party warehouses.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, receiving, warehouse transfers, stock in transit, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and inventory reporting.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP Business One experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data and convert findings into practical purchasing and replenishment decisions.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with imported products, international supply chains, and long replenishment lead times.
  • Experience working with building materials, wood products, manufacturing, or wholesale distribution.
  • Knowledge of landed costs, inbound freight, and inventory accounting.
  • Experience with inventory-planning or business-intelligence platforms such as Netstock, Power BI, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Experience developing standard operating procedures and internal inventory controls.
  • Portuguese language skills are helpful but not required.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate is analytical, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of inventory accuracy across several locations. This individual should be willing to investigate discrepancies directly, follow issues through resolution, and communicate clearly with warehouses, Sales, Accounting, Logistics, suppliers, and senior management.
