What they need

1. Role Purpose
The Inventory Planner owns end-to-end inventory planning for the Amartex store network — deciding what stock goes where, when it is replenished, and how much is procured. The role ensures the right product is available at the right store at the right time, while keeping excess, slow-moving and aged stock under control.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Allocation Planning – Plan and execute stock allocation across all stores based on store size, location, sales velocity, and seasonal demand.
  • Replenishment Planning – Design and run replenishment cycles for all SKUs. Classify items as fast-moving, medium or slow-moving, and apply differentiated replenishment norms (min-max levels, reorder points, safety stock) for each.
  • Procurement Sheets – Prepare and maintain inventory procurement sheets and purchase indents based on sales trends, stock cover, open-to-buy, and vendor lead times.
  • Slow / Fast Mover Management – Identify slow-moving and non-moving stock early; recommend inter-store transfers, markdowns and liquidation plans.
  • Demand Forecasting – Forecast demand at store and category level using historical sales, seasonality, promotions and festive/event calendars.
  • Inventory Analytics & MIS – Track stock turnover, days of inventory, sell-through, availability and ageing; publish regular MIS to the Supply Chain Head.
  • Coordination – Coordinate with vendors, warehouse, merchandising and store operations to close supply gaps and resolve delays.
  • Data Integrity – Ensure inventory data accuracy in the ERP/inventory system and support periodic stock audits and reconciliations.

3. Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in inventory planning, replenishment or merchandise planning; retail / multi-store experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, forecasting models); working knowledge of ERP / inventory management systems.

4. Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision making
  • Demand forecasting and replenishment planning
  • Vendor coordination and negotiation
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple store locations at once
  • Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
