DESCRIPTION

Join us in transforming Meat & Seafood inventory operations as we build new capabilities for sustainable growth and operational excellence. This role supports daily inventory planning execution for the Meat and Seafood categories, working directly with the Inventory Planning Manager to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent operational output. You will execute transactional inventory tasks, maintain reporting systems, monitor inventory positions, and flag issues for resolution, serving as the operational backbone that keeps daily planning running smoothly. This is a build-from-the-ground-up environment. You will help document and standardize processes as they are created, and your attention to detail and consistency will be critical as the team establishes repeatable planning capabilities.

Key job responsibilities
Daily Inventory Operations & Execution

  • Execute daily replenishment transactions, purchase order management, and inventory allocation tasks
  • Enter data into ordering systems and route purchase orders to appropriate distribution partners and vendors
  • Monitor inventory positions across distribution nodes; identify and escalate out-of-stock risks, overstock situations, and spoilage exposure
  • Support inventory planning for promotional events, seasonal peaks, and new product launches by preparing data, tracking quantities, and coordinating logistics details
  • Execute cycle count reconciliation and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Support coordination with third-party distributors on day-to-day operational needs; track open issues, follow through on resolutions, and escalate unresolved problems

Reporting & Analytics Support

  • Build, maintain, and distribute daily/weekly inventory performance reports
  • Create and update dashboards and tracking tools that provide visibility into category inventory health
  • Pull and organize data for ad-hoc analyses requested by the Inventory Planning Manager or leadership
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems; identify and correct data quality issues

Process Documentation & Improvement Support

  • Document reporting methodologies and maintain a library of standard report templates
  • Identify recurring data errors, manual bottlenecks, or process inconsistencies and recommend fixes
  • Support implementation of new tracking and reporting systems by testing, validating data, and providing user feedback
  • Maintain organized records of vendor communications, PO history, and inventory decisions for audit and reference

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain operations, retail operations, or logistics
  • Excel proficiency including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, data cleaning, and basic automation
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain data accuracy across multiple systems
  • Ability to manage multiple transactional tasks simultaneously with consistent follow-through

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with perishables, fresh food, or time-sensitive inventory operations (shelf-life tracking, spoilage monitoring)
  • Basic SQL skills for data extraction and BI reporting
