Inventory Supervisor

About the role

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the inventory department. This role includes monitoring stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory counts, supervising the inventory staff, and maintaining stock movement between multiple locations. The Inventory Supervisor will ensure that all inventory processes are followed correctly and efficiently to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor stock availability and ensure that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels, placing orders when stock reaches reorder points
• Oversee the physical counting of all inventory items to ensure accurate records in the system
• Regularly monitor stocks on hand to initiate timely reordering of items
• Track tested products and maintain records to ensure availability and quality
• Ensure that all route forms are properly completed and monitored for stock movement accuracy
• Lead, supervise, and guide the Inventory Staff in tasks such as stock counting, cleaning, refilling, and proper storage of items
• Check and update stock quantities in QuickBooks, ensuring that inventory records are current and accurate
• Ensure that all products released from the inventory are complete and properly documented
• Manage and monitor the transfer of stocks between the Potrero and Head Office locations
• Generate inventory reports (daily, weekly, monthly)

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain management, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role
• Proficiency in inventory systems such as QuickBooks or Warehouse Management Systems
• Familiarity with FIFO, FEFO, inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and stock auditing
• Knowledge in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
