Job Summary

Cogent Paint Limited is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Inventory/Store Keeper to manage the company’s raw materials, finished products, supplies, and general store operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, receiving and issuing materials, and ensuring that the store is properly organized and secured.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, and properly record incoming raw materials, products, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
• Issue raw materials and other items to authorized personnel based on approved requests.
• Monitor stock levels and promptly report shortages, excesses, damages, or discrepancies.
• Keep proper records of stock received, issued, transferred, and returned.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records.
• Ensure proper arrangement, labeling, and storage of materials and finished products.
• Apply appropriate stock rotation methods, especially for materials with shelf-life considerations.
• Ensure that all store items are properly secured and protected from damage, contamination, or loss.
• Work closely with the Production, Procurement, Sales, and Accounts departments to ensure smooth inventory operations.
• Prepare inventory reports and provide accurate stock information when required.
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, expired, or obsolete stock and report accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the store.
• Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Perform other store and inventory-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• OND, HND, B.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing & Supply, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Store Keeper, Inventory Officer, Warehouse Officer, or in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or paint company will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and identify stock discrepancies.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory/record-keeping tools.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Honest, responsible, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing/store environment.
