**About the Roles:**One Investigator opportunity available, One Complaints assessor and One Senior Complaints Assessor. Roles can be based in either Wellington or Auckland. You'll investigate potential breaches, working through complex evidence to determine what happened and what needs to change.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing a caseload of complex investigation files end-to-end
• Conducting sensitive phone interviews with a wide range of stakeholders
• Producing analytically robust written reports for senior decision-makers
• Collaborating with legal counsel, subject-matter experts, and senior leaders
• Identifying systemic issues and recommending practice improvements

About You: You bring prior investigations experience from a regulatory, oversight, or complex investigative setting — potentially from a government agency, ombudsman-style body, or complex insurance investigations background. You can interpret legislation and apply it to evidence, whether that's come through legal practice, working alongside legal teams, or equivalent regulatory work. A legal background is highly regarded.

• A sharp analytical thinker who weighs complex evidence and reaches defensible conclusions
• An excellent writer who translates evidence into clear, accurate language
• Emotionally composed when handling sensitive or distressing subject matter
• Skilled at building rapport quickly with people from all walks of life
• Grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi with strong cultural competence
