The role is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving discrepancies, building organized processes and getting the details right . It requires a high degree of responsibility, accuracy, accountability and process discipline.
You will not be expected to speculate or make investment decisions. Rather, you will develop a strong understanding of how a disciplined portfolio management firm implements and administers investment decisions on behalf of its clients.
Responsibilities:

- Process TFSA purchases, RRSP and FHSA contributions, and RRIF and LIF withdrawals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client account and transaction records.
- Perform detailed reconciliations, allocations, calculations and account reviews using Excel.
- Learn and utilize Harmony Portfolio Management Software and other systems used by the firm.
- Develop, maintain and continually improve organized processes, checklists and controls to ensure that required transactions and follow-ups are completed and nothing falls through the cracks.

- Are highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large amounts of numerical data.
- Have exceptional organizational skills and an unusually strong attention to detail.
- Approach work in a methodical, thorough and process-oriented manner.

- Take ownership of your work and can be relied upon to follow tasks through to completion.
- Can manage multiple priorities without losing track of details.
- Are comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with a small, experienced team.
- Prefer disciplined, evidence-based investing to speculation and are interested in developing a deeper understanding of prudent portfolio management.
- A background in actuarial science, mathematics, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, statistics or another quantitative discipline would be an asset.
- Previous experience in investment administration or portfolio operations is an asset but is not required for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with Canadian registered accounts and investment products, including TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, RRIF, LIF, GIC and savings products
- Experience with Harmony Portfolio Management Software is a bonus.
