Overview:
The Investor Relations Manager supports the Investor Relations team in executing the company’s investor communication programme and in maintaining relationships with the investment community. This role has day-to-day responsibility for preparing earnings and investor materials, covering a defined group of investors and analysts, and providing the analysis that supports targeting and messaging. The role is a step towards full ownership of the earnings cycle and reports directly to the Head of Investor Relations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, including results commentary, Q&A documents and investor presentations, working with Finance and senior IR.
- Draft and maintain the core investor presentation and supporting materials, ensuring the equity story is communicated accurately and consistently.
- Act as day-to-day contact for a defined group of institutional investors and sell-side analysts, handling routine inquiries and escalating material feedback to senior IR.
- Prepare analysis of the shareholder register, peer valuations and analyst estimates to support targeting and outreach.
- Support preparation of IR input into regulatory filings and market disclosures, working with legal, finance and external advisers.
- Coordinate investor roadshows, conferences, site visits and results calls, including logistics, briefing materials and post-meeting follow-up.
- Prepare regular reporting on investor sentiment, peer benchmarking and market developments for senior management.
- Support the preparation of materials and logistics for Board and Board committee meetings, working with senior IR and the Company Secretary’s office.
- Conduct ad hoc research and analysis on peer benchmarking, market developments and specific investor topics to support senior IR and management.
- Work with external IR service providers, including IR platforms and investor targeting partners, on day-to-day requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Communications and the business to gather information and ensure consistency across investor-facing content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in investor relations, equity research, equity capital markets, investment banking or corporate finance.
- Experience preparing earnings materials or investor presentations, ideally in an in-house IR role at a listed company.
- Good understanding of equity markets, valuation concepts and financial statements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with IR platforms or market data terminals (e.g. Bloomberg) advantageous.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams to tight deadlines.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion and integrity in handling confidential and price-sensitive information.
- Collaborative team player, comfortable working across functions and with senior stakeholders.
- Fluency in English required; Mandarin highly advantageous.
