SoundCloud

SoundCloud empowers artists, tastemakers and fans to connect and share through music. Founded in 2007, SoundCloud is a creator-first platform helping artists build and grow their careers by providing them with the most advanced tools, services, and resources. With over 4x the music catalog of every other major streaming platform, spanning 40+ million artists across 190+ countries, SoundCloud is where emerging artists find their sound, hidden gems are discovered, and music culture is shaped in real time.
We are looking for a mid-level iOS Engineer to join the SoundCloud Fan Monetization team. Our mission is to deepen the connection between fans and creators, building features that enhance how fans engage with and support their favorite artists. In this role, you will operate as part of a truly global team, collaborating regularly with engineers and product partners in London, Berlin, and elsewhere to deliver high-quality mobile experiences. You’ll focus almost exclusively on a modern SwiftUI stack, shipping high-impact features to millions of users worldwide.
This role offers a fantastic growth runway. You'll work in a forward-thinking environment that fully embraces AI acceleration to streamline development, while focusing on building clean, intuitive user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Develop and scale SoundCloud's fan-facing features across iOS, focusing heavily on building clean, responsive UI and features using Swift and SwiftUI</li>
<li>Embrace and utilize advanced AI tools to safely, securely, and responsibly accelerate your coding workflows, code reviews, and testing</li>
<li>Partner closely with product, design, and data teams across our international offices (including London and Berlin) to define, build, and iterate on features</li>
<li>Participate in feature scoping, product experimentation (A/B testing), analytics integration, and agile delivery to optimize user engagement</li>
<li>Engage in code reviews and engineering best practices to maintain a high standard of performance, accessibility, and platform consistency</li>
</ul>
Experience And Background
<ul>
<li>3+ years of experience building iOS applications with a solid foundation in Swift and a strong familiarity with SwiftUI</li>
<li>You prefer looking forward; this role focuses entirely on our modern Swift/SwiftUI components, with no requirement to maintain or refactor legacy Objective-C</li>
<li>Excited about leveraging AI development assistants to optimize your productivity, code quality, and learning</li>
<li>Skilled at working within agile, distributed teams, proactively communicating, and breaking down problems into elegant, maintainable code</li>
<li>While your primary focus is iOS, an openness or curiosity toward occasionally learning or collaborating across other tech stacks—such as Android, Web, or Backend (Go)—is a welcome plus</li>
<li>You love music, mobile products, and the idea of helping creators build closer bonds with their audience</li>
</ul>
The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $165,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at SoundCloud
SoundCloud is for everyone. Diversity and open expression are fundamental to our organization; they help us lead what’s next in music by understanding and empowering our creators and fans, no matter their identity. We acknowledge the challenges in the music industry, and strive to influence an inclusive culture where everyone can contribute respectfully and thrive, especially the historically marginalized communities that many of our creators, fans and SoundClouders identify with. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment at SoundCloud for everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, migration background, national origin, age, disability status, or care-giver status.
At SoundCloud you can find your community or elevate your allyship by joining a Diversity Resource Group. Diversity Resource Groups are employee-organized groups focused on supporting and promoting the interests of a particular underrepresented community in order to build a more inclusive culture at SoundCloud. Anyone can join, whether you share the identity or strive to be an ally.
