IOT Engineer Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor inventory of IoT devices, electronic components, tools, sensors, and spare parts.
• Assemble IoT devices, including soldering, wiring, component installation, and basic hardware troubleshooting or repair.
• Perform firmware flashing, device configuration, firmware updates, and basic functional testing.
• Support firmware testing by verifying device connectivity, sensor response, communication, and collecting logs or debugging information.
• Conduct Quality Control (QC) and functional testing to ensure devices are working properly before deployment.
• Monitor sensor data and device performance on a daily basis to identify abnormal readings, missing data, connectivity issues, or device failures.
• Compile and prepare basic reports based on sensor data and monitoring results for technical review and operational tracking.
• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, device replacement, and troubleshooting of IoT devices and related equipment.
• Record testing, firmware, QC, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for technical documentation and tracking.
• Work closely with Hardware Engineers, Firmware Engineers, and IoT Technicians to support device development and resolve technical issues.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or any related technical field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant technical or hands-on experience will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components, sensors, PCB boards, and IoT devices.
• Basic soldering, wiring, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with basic testing tools such as multimeter and other electronic equipment.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems, firmware flashing, or microcontrollers such as ESP32, Arduino, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Willing to perform on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting when required.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with Engineers and Technicians.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
