Job Summary
The Modernization Automation team in Hyderabad specializes in Industry 4.0, IoT, and process automation solutions. Our team of 40 engineers works with some of India's and the Middle East's largest manufacturers to digitize factory operations and implement smart manufacturing solutions. We maintain a fully equipped IoT lab with industrial sensors, PLCs, and edge devices for rapid prototyping.
Responsibilities
Were seeking an IoT Solutions Engineer to join our Modernization Automation team. You'll design and implement Industrial IoT solutions for manufacturing clients, connecting sensors, PLCs, and edge devices to cloud platforms for real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process optimization. This role bridges the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT), requiring both embedded systems knowledge and cloud architecture skills. You'll work on Industry 4.0 initiatives for leading manufacturers in automotive, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods sectors. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable debugging a Modbus connection on the factory floor and designing a cloud-based analytics dashboard.
- Design end-to-end IoT architectures connecting industrial equipment to cloud platforms.
- Develop edge computing solutions for real-time data processing and anomaly detection.
- Implement MQTT, OPC-UA, and Modbus protocols for industrial device connectivity.
- Build data ingestion pipelines from sensors and PLCs to AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT Hub.
- Create real-time dashboards and alerting systems for manufacturing operations.
- Develop predictive maintenance models using sensor data and ML algorithms.
- Ensure security of IoT deployments following IEC 62443 and NIST IoT standards.
Requirements
- Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider).
- Knowledge of digital twin concepts and simulation tools.
- AWS IoT Specialty or Azure IoT Developer certification.
- Experience with SCADA systems and MES integration.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- 3-5 years of IoT or embedded systems development experience.
- Experience with industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, BACnet).
- Programming proficiency in Python and C/C++.
- Knowledge of cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or GCP IoT).
- Experience with edge computing devices (Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, industrial gateways).
- Understanding of time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial automation concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
