IOW / ASSISTANT RESIDENT ENGINEER

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor construction activities on site to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and project schedules.
• Review and verify contractors' work progress, quality of workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities on technical and site-related matters.
• Conduct regular site inspections and provide technical guidance to resolve issues arising during project execution.
• Monitor compliance with quality assurance, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Review and verify inspection reports, test results, and project documentation.
• Prepare site progress reports, technical reports, and project updates to consultant Director.
• Witness testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, local authority requirements, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in contract administration and project performance monitoring.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), or related engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of site supervision, construction practices, contract administration, and project management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad and relevant software applications.
