IP Litigation Docketing Specialist

Location: Remote opportunity for the right candidate

Falcon Legal Talent is recruiting an experienced IP Litigation Docketing Specialist for a national law firm. This position offers the opportunity to support sophisticated intellectual property disputes while working closely with attorneys, legal professionals, and an established docketing team.

We are seeking someone who understands the complexities of litigation deadlines and brings sound judgment, accuracy, and a responsive approach to supporting busy case teams.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze filings, orders, and correspondence to identify and calendar deadlines across patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes.
• Apply relevant court and agency rules, including local requirements and individual judges’ procedures.
• Research deadline questions and communicate clear findings to attorneys and staff.
• Maintain reliable calendars, prepare deadline reports, and review entries for accuracy.
• Coordinate with colleagues to resolve questions, provide coverage, and strengthen docketing practices.
• Monitor procedural changes that affect active matters.

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of law firm experience focused on IP litigation docketing.
• Familiarity with federal trial and appellate proceedings, ITC matters, and arbitration.
• Experience calculating deadlines in both federal and state courts.
• Understanding of patent litigation milestones, including claim construction proceedings.
• Proficiency with rules-based docketing software.
• Strong research, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing requests, work independently, and collaborate with a centralized team.
• A degree, paralegal credential, or comparable combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to provide additional coverage when deadlines require it.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary ranges from $90,000–$115,000 , depending on experience and work location:

• Boston, MA: $90,000–$110,000
• Washington, DC: $90,000–$105,000
• Los Angeles, CA: $90,000–$115,000
