IP DRG Coder

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient medical records accurately as per coding guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, quality benchmarks, and productivity targets.
• Identify appropriate DRG assignments and reimbursement-related coding requirements.
• Maintain high levels of coding accuracy and quality.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in IP DRG Coding.

- Certification (Mandatory)

AAPC or AHIMA Certification – Any one of the following:

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder)

• COC (Certified Outpatient Coder)

• CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder)

• CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)

• Strong domain knowledge of Coding Clinics.

• Good exposure to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Guidelines.

• Hands-on experience in:

• MS-DRG

• APR-DRG

• PCS Coding

• Principal Diagnosis (PDX)

• CC/MCC Classification

• Good knowledge and experience in Newborn Charts.

• Strong understanding of inpatient coding concepts and DRG methodologies.

• Excellent analytical and documentation review skills.

• Immediate joiners or candidates serving a short notice period preferred.
