IP Executive, Location : Tsuen Wan, 5 days Salary : 30-40K ( Nego )

Job Description

• Conduct FTO searches, prior art searches using commercial patent analytic database, provide workaround strategy to mitigate infringement risks, and perform patentability analyses;
• Review and revise invention disclosures from inventors, and coordinate with external patent attorneys for patent drafting, filing and prosecution;
• Manage external patent agencies to improve patent grant rates and broaden protection scope;
• Manage external translation vendors to improve translation quality in a cost- effective manner;
• Assist senior management in finalizing patent filing strategies and IP portfolio maintenance strategies;
• Review contracts and agreements containing IP provisions, including assignments, licensing agreements, joint-development agreements, supplier agreements and NDAs;
• Support trademark searches, filings, collection of use evidence, and IP customs recordation.
• Support contentious IP litigation matters and proceedings as well as other IP rights enforcement actions in Chinese Mainland.

Requirements

• Candidates should hold a degree, preferably in science, engineering or law- related disciplines.
• They shall have at least 3 years of experience in Patent and IP practice,
• A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, and familiarity with patent analytic databases for strategic IP management.
• Candidates should also be highly self-motivated, meticulous, well-organized, and capable of conducting independent in-depth research with minimal supervision.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have passed the Patent Attorney Qualification Examination.
