About the role

We are seeking an experienced IPQC (In-Process Quality Control) professional to join Tastiway Sdn Bhd in Jitra, Kedah. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality throughout our manufacturing operations. As IPQC, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling quality at every stage of the production process, ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality specifications and regulatory requirements. This role is essential to our commitment to delivering excellence and maintaining customer satisfaction in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular inspections and testing of products during various stages of the production process to identify and rectify quality issues
• Collecting, documenting and analysing quality data to track trends and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Operating and maintaining quality control equipment and testing instruments with precision and accuracy
• Communicating quality issues promptly to production supervisors and management to facilitate immediate corrective actions
• Performing statistical process control (SPC) analysis and creating control charts to monitor production consistency
• Conducting root cause analysis on quality failures and implementing preventive measures
• Maintaining detailed quality records and preparing comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders
• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and ISO standards
• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and reduce defects
• Conducting training sessions for production staff on quality standards and best practices

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IPQC, quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (ISO 9001)
• Proficiency in using quality control testing equipment, measurement instruments and laboratory tools
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify deviations from specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with production teams and management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of food manufacturing quality standards is advantageous
• Certification in quality management (ISO 9001, Six Sigma) would be beneficial
