Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Ironworker - Field Erecting and become a vital part of constructing and assembling steel structures that stand tall and strong! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to bring large-scale projects to life. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for installing, connecting, and securing steel frameworks with precision and safety at the forefront. Your expertise in welding, rigging, blueprint reading, and fabrication will drive the success of each project while ensuring adherence to all safety standards and industry codes.

Duties

• Erect and install steel components on construction sites using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and rigging equipment.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble structures according to specifications.
• Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding to join steel parts securely.
• Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and plasma cutting equipment to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Operate machinery including forklifts, scissor-lifts and prepare materials for installation.
• Conduct rigging operations safely when lifting heavy steel sections with forklifts; ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues on-site, ensuring timely completion of projects while upholding high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of steel erection processes.
• Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, welding; certification preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and other equipment.
• Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Experience operating forklifts safely in a construction environment.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during installation tasks.

Basic Information and Benefits

• Must be able to work is variable weather (Hot and Cold)
• Paid Weekly (Fridays)
• Must be able to accept instruction well
• First Three months Probationary - Weld Testing is required prior to starting
• After 90 days opportunity and Benefits offered : Medical,Dental,Vision,401K,PTO
• Must be on time EVERYDAY
• Work Week Mon - Friday (some weekends)
• Compensation $23 - $38 - Based on experience
