Irrigation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Irrigation Engineer to plan, design, supervise, and maintain irrigation systems for landscaping, infrastructure, and other projects. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, water management, and site execution, preferably with GCC experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop irrigation systems for landscaping and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare irrigation layouts, hydraulic calculations, technical drawings, and material specifications.
• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, landscape teams, and other engineering disciplines.
• Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Monitor site activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Inspect irrigation pipelines, pumps, valves, sprinkler systems, drip irrigation, controllers, and related equipment.
• Conduct site inspections and identify technical issues, defects, and required corrective actions.
• Ensure efficient water distribution and proper system performance.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection requests, material submittals, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate procurement and ensure materials comply with approved specifications.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot irrigation system failures, pressure issues, leakage, and equipment problems.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable project specifications, standards, and local regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in irrigation engineering and site execution.
• GCC/Qatar experience is preferred.
• Experience with landscape irrigation systems, sprinkler systems, drip irrigation, pumps, valves, and irrigation controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and irrigation drawings.
• Knowledge of irrigation design, hydraulic calculations, and water management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of other design software is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Strong site supervision, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams.
• Qatar driving license is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

Experience in landscape, infrastructure, road, villa, commercial, or large-scale development projects will be an advantage.
