Irrigation Technician

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial irrigation systems. In this role, you will work directly with pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and smart control systems to ensure efficient, sustainable water distribution across all client properties. You will diagnose system failures, complete routine servicing, and provide detailed end-of-service reports to management.

Key Responsibilities

• System Installation & Maintenance: Lay pipes, install and adjust sprinkler heads, wire control valves, and set up automated controller systems for optimal coverage.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues, locate and fix pipe leaks, repair damaged lines, and replace faulty components.
• Water Management & Efficiency: Conduct system audits, program controllers for proper watering schedules, and recommend upgrades to promote sustainable water use.
• Reporting & Documentation: Complete and submit accurate end-of-service reports to the office after every job, detailing work performed, materials used, and necessary follow-up care.
• Client & Team Communication: Walk clients through completed repairs when needed and coordinate with field crews and office managers to maintain project schedules.

Qualifications & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in irrigation repair, installation, or grounds maintenance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation mechanics, backflow devices, low-voltage electrical systems, and smart controllers.
• Ability to read layout designs and technical schematics.
• Capability to perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions, including digging, lifting up to 50 lbs, and bending continuously.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High attention to detail and strong written communication skills for service reporting.

Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per day
