Position: Irrigation Technician

About the Business

Plasflo Irrigation is a family owned, progressive, fast expanding irrigation business based in Glen Osmond. We are requiring the services of an experienced Irrigation Installer and maintenance technician to join our team. The role will require working predominantly in the field, as well as servicing customers in our busy store as required.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in irrigation systems and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

· Domestic and commercial / institution irrigation repairs and maintenance.

· Fault finding off electrical and hydraulic issues.

· Domestic and commercial/ institutional new installations.

· Pressure pump system repairs and maintenance.

· Bore hole pump system installations and repairs.

· Drainage pump system installation and repairs.

· Offsider to water well drilling for domestic and commercial / industrial water supplies.

· Offsider for dewatering projects both local and regional.

· Mechanical repairs and maintenance to the company’s machinery.

· Operating trenching and levelling machinery.

· Installing and maintaining filtration systems.

· Installing and maintaining reverse osmosis systems.

Qualifications:

· Relevant qualification in AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

· At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above

Skills:

· Good problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team.

· Documentation of all work performed.

· Driver’s licence is required. (will need to be able to drive a manual)

· Small skid steer and excavator experience desirable but not essential.

· Only applicants with relevant experience need apply.

Experience Requirement:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the irrigation industry.

· Pump experience required.
