What they need

The IT Administrator is a key member of TCT’s IT function, providing responsive, hands-on support that keeps employees productive and technology dependable. The role owns day-to-day user support, equipment readiness, account setup, and clear resolution follow-through.

This position is highly employee-facing and execution-focused, requiring strong communication, sound troubleshooting judgment, and consistent follow-through. The Administrator partners with employees across the company, the Director of IT, TCT’s managed services provider (MSP), and technology vendors to maintain reliable systems and resolve issues.

The role centers on user support, with opportunities to contribute to infrastructure, cloud, security, automation, AI, and technology projects as skills and business needs grow. TCT expects the position to be onsite five days per week initially, with an anticipated transition to four onsite days per week.

At TCT, we believe the strength of our work depends on the strength of our people. We value collaboration, continuous learning, direct communication, and an employee experience that gives people the structure, support, and opportunities they need to grow and contribute at a high level.

Essential Functions:

  • Employee Technology Support: Provide timely onsite and remote support for Windows computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, conference room technology, Microsoft 365, and business applications.
  • Equipment and Onboarding: Prepare computers and other equipment, support employee onboarding and offboarding, and help manage accounts, licenses, access, and device readiness.
  • IT Asset Coordination: Track IT equipment and software; coordinate purchases, repairs, warranties, returns, and replacements; and keep asset records current.
  • Troubleshooting and Escalation: Resolve common account, device, connectivity, and application issues; identify when an issue needs escalation; and coordinate with the MSP or vendor through resolution.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Assist with daytoday administration of Microsoft 365, user accounts, endpoint tools, and TCT’s hybrid environment, with guidance and escalation support as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear IT documentation, setup instructions, inventories, and repeatable procedures so employees and the IT team can find reliable answers.
  • Technology Projects: Help with infrastructure, cloud, security, automation, AI, and other IT projects as priorities arise; take ownership of assigned work and expand responsibility as skills develop.
  • Service Improvement: Look for practical ways to improve support and simplify recurring IT tasks while keeping employee needs and business continuity in view.

Position Requirements

  • Experience and Education: Approximately four to five years of help desk, desktop support, or handson IT support experience; comparable practical experience will also be considered. A bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science is preferred.
  • Employee Support: A serviceoriented approach, clear communication, patience, and confidence assisting employees with different levels of technical experience.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to gather relevant information, explain next steps, prioritize urgent issues, and follow through until the user has a resolution or clear update.
  • Collaboration and Ownership: Comfort working independently on routine issues and collaborating with the IT team, MSP, and vendors on more complex problems.
  • Judgment and Flexibility: Sound judgment in a role where employee support may require a quick response during businesscritical situations.
  • Helpful Endpoint Experience: Windows endpoint setup and support, Microsoft 365, Entra ID or Active Directory, account provisioning, and endpoint management tools such as Intune or Windows Autopilot.
  • Helpful Infrastructure Experience: Solid knowledge and experience with Windows Server, networking, cloud services such as Azure, IT security practices, backup, or disaster recovery.
  • Helpful Automation Experience: PowerShell or other scripting and automation tools, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, n8n, or practical use of AI tools in IT work.
  • Additional Qualifications: Relevant certifications or experience in architecture, engineering, construction, cost consulting, or business applications used in those environments.
  • Work Requirements: Based in TCT’s New York office; occasional travel to Washington, DC; ability to prepare and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Why Choose TCT?

  • “Small Giant”: Contribute meaningfully to a growing firm while experiencing the collaboration, accessibility, and visibility of a smaller team.
  • Career Growth: Build skills through continuous learning and professional development, with opportunities to take on broader technology work over time.
  • Team Collaboration: Join a supportive, crossfunctional environment where people communicate openly, take ownership, share knowledge, and help the team succeed.

If you’re interested in helping keep TCT’s people and technology productive, apply directly through this job posting.
