IT and Encoding Specialist

Greenery Mart Corporation (GMC) is a retail and wholesale distribution company that started its operation in Ibajay, Aklan in the year 2000, emphasizing on selling fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) at low prices. Now, GMC caters to a population of around 1.2 million people, with a distribution area spanning 24 municipalities throughout the Panay island region.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site role for an IT and Encoding Specialist located in Ibajay, Aklan. The IT and Encoding Specialist will be responsible for managing the organization’s technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks, as well as encoding order requests and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Repair and fix company assets such as printers and other electronic assets.
• Manage server performance, install software/hardware, and handle system maintenance under the supervision of the IT supervisor.
• Setting up and maintaining CCTV hardware, IP cameras, NVRs (Network Video Recorders), and PoE switches.
• Troubleshoot POS (Point of Sale) systems and ensure that software and hardware components are in good condition.
• Maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) to ensure connectivity and security.
• Protect organizational data, monitor for vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Manage and secure data storage, ensuring accessibility and integrity.
• Encode high-volume, accurate data from various sources (Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Order Requests, Bad Orders, etc.) into computer databases
• Check completed encoding for accuracy, correcting errors, and identifying missing or inconsistent information.
• Perform other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.

• Experience: 3+ years in IT support or system administration

• Exhibits a high level of Technical Proficiency:

  • Networking: Configuration, troubleshooting, LAN/WAN.
  • System Admin: Windows/Office 365, server management, Active Directory.
  • Hardware: Installation and maintenance.

• Excellent typing speed and attention to detail.

• Strong knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), data entry software, and database management.

• Willing to be assigned in Ibajay, Aklan
